RAJASTHAN, also known as 'The Land of the Kings' and 'Rajputana' is made up of a collection of former princely states and has attracted travellers, traders and explorers for centuries. Today it is one of India's most popular tourist destinations, and rightly so. See exceptional example of the smaller forts and palaces scattered around the country-side along with visits to Rajasthan's major cities - Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur. Many of the forts' owners have converted their ancestral homes into small, comfortable hotels and these will be your 'home' during the course of this tour.
DAY 1 ARRIVE DELHI

On arrival stay at The Oberoi Hotel.
DAY 2 DELHI
Explore the myriad sights of Old and New Delhi. The wide boulevards of Lutyens' New Delhi contrast dramatically with the narrow streets and scattered monuments that dominate Old Delhi.
DAY 3 DELHI - SAMODE
Morning drive to Samode and stay 1 nights at the spectacular Samode Palace. Afternoon at leisure or walk throght the village.
DAY 4 SAMODE - JAIPUR
Morning drive past the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) and continue to Amber. Ascend to this hilltop fort on elephant back ( alternate possibility by jeep ).
After lunch explore Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Visit the City Palace and the Observatory.

DAY 5 JAIPUR - NIMAJ
Morning drive to Nimaj enrout visiting holi city Pushkar. Lunch at Pushkar and Continue to Nimaj and stay 1 night in luxurious tents on a dam, at Chhatra Sagar.
DAY 6 NIMAJ - LUNI / Rohet
Morning free to walk undisturbed around the lake or up the hill for fine views. Alternatively, venture out into the surrounding farming village by jeep, with a member of the owning family. Short afternoon drive to Luni or Rohet and stay 2 nights at the charming Fort Chanwa or Rohet garh, just south of Jodhpur.
DAY 7 LUNI / Rohet - Mandore - JODHPUR - LUNI / Rohet
Morning excursion to nearby Jodhpur, visiting the imposing Meherangarh Fort. Afternoon jeep safari into the surrounding tribal villages and desert scrubland.
DAY 8 LUNI - RANAKPUR - KUMBHALGARH - DEOGARH
Morning drive to Ranakpur to see some of India's finest Jain Temples. After lunch visit the mighty fort at Kumbhalgarh which broods over the surrounding landscape and offers spectacular views. Continue to Deogarh and stay 2 nights at Deogarh Mahal.
DAY 9 DEOGARH
Day free to take a train ride through a pretty 'ghat' section, a jeep safari into the surrounding area, to go riding, to explore the village or to rest by the swimming pool.
DAY 10 DEOGARH - DELWARA
Morning drive to Delwara, via the interesting temples at Nathdwara. Stay 2 nights at the magnificent Devi Garh. Afternoon at leisure.
DAY 11 UDAIPUR
Excursion to the enchanting city of lakes & fountain with its grand palaces, Jagdish Temple, Fountains garden, later visit painting school.
Afternoon enjoy boat ride on Pichola lake with the view of Jag Niwas and differant ghats. visit Jag Mandir Palace.
Back to Hotel Overnight.
DAY 12 DELWARA - DUNGARPUR

After breakfast proceed to visit Eklinji & Nagda Temple. Later proceed for Dungarpur deep in the southern reaches of the Aravalli Hills. Stay 2 nights at the stunning Udai Bilas Palace with its lakeside position.
DAY 13 DUNGARPUR
Day free to explore the extraordinary architecture of the palace, bird watch or venture up to the old, hilltop palace with its exceptional and rarely visited frescoes.
DAY 14 DUNGARPUR - AHMEDABAD - MUMBAI (BOMBAY)
Morning drive to Ahmedabad. Afternoon Pnaromic sight seeing of Ahmedabad City then proceed to airport to fly to Mumbai. After dinner at an airport hotel, depart for the internatiional connection .
DAY 15 DEPART MUMBAI
Early morning departure for onward destination.
